Stormage from Plettenberg (North-Rhine/Westphalia) were created 2002 and play American affected Powermetal. Since that the band denies a stony, but continuously successful way. With modern, emotional and at the same time energetic-aggressive songs the band could develop an outstanding call and a faithful fan municipality.

2005 their work panned out and Stormage signed a record deal. With STF-Records as a strong partner in the back Stormage took up its debut CD „Balance of Power “(2005) in the Ampire Studio and the second album „Sudden Awakening “(2007) was developed under self-direction in the Anthem Studio. Owing to many support concerts for e.g. Axxis, Skyclad, Eisregen, Darzamat, as well as several festival gigs the band could extend their first-class call.

Already with the debut album „Balance of Power " (2005 - STF Rec.) Stormage presented themselves strongly as expectd and received straight away a lot attention as well as fantastic reviews. On their second album „Sudden Awakening “(June 2007 - STF Rec.) Stormage showed up darker and more brutal, without losing melody, witticism and creativeness. A heart-recreating interpretation of the modern Heavy Metal, which is without equal in Germany.

With their first release the guys from the sauerland had to bear comparisons with other bands over and over again, but with their new release "Sudden Awakening" the band intensified their own identity. Without departing from Heiko Heseler's unerring powerful singing or from Heiko´s and Hugo Fromm´s punctured smashing guitar work, the band already earned their own cachet on their debut album. Alberto Stumpf on the drums and Dirk Heggemann on the bass direct a powerful, ruthless roller and make the music perfectly.

The music Stormage blows at full tilt into the auditory canals of fans as well as critics is more than the a work of a band which bears an enormous pressure from the outside. The critical ogle of the external world intimidated them no little what shows once more that they can still increase. Stormage impress with their complete own charisma, full-grown arrangements and songs which claw under the brain cortex and do not release again.

With their new output the guys around singer Heiko Heseler get ready to breathe new life into the Metal scene and print with Stormage their own stamp on this scene.

Because of the necessary swab of self-sufficiency they already sting out from the mass and will influence the march direction in the future.

With the second album „Sudden Awakening “(VÖ June 2007) Stormage proves that the time has come for them: dark and more brutal on the one hand, blowing, more massive, more intensive on the other hand, make „Sudden Awakening “ an exceptional album.
Punctured smashing guitars, unerring powerful singing, thrilling melodies and a full grown arrangement which firmly claws under the brain cortex and do not release again. Each Song has more power, aggression and emotion than before with which Stormage proves that they can still increase and have moulted to a solid and serious size in the German Metal scene.
